Nigerians crossed with full-size dairy goats for perfect family-size milkers
Eo is an '04 first generation miniature Toggenburg. She is black (not the correct Togg brown) with Swiss markings and a few scattered brown hairs. She is an outstanding girl and an excellent little milker; she did very well as a first freshener.
It's possible, as you may guess from this picture (posing with her border collie friend), that Eo is a tad bit spoiled. She was born out of season and was the only bottle baby we had, so she lived in the house and slept in a dog crate next to the bed at night. She loved nothing better than standing by the woodstove in her diaper and t-shirt, soaking up the heat. Anyway, she was quite surprised, and certainly not pleased, when she had to go back outside to live. She has adjusted well, though, and now prefers the outdoor life.
It does indeed build character: Eo is now boss of all the minis. Eo had two extremely friendly bucklings, Bugsy and Stetson, this year. They will be available as wethers.
