Stacy is a black-and-white 4-year-old American Nubian. She has spots and frosted ears and
is pictured with her best friend, Penrose the Toggenburg. When she was a young kid, before we got her, she had a broken leg that was left untreated. This left her with a somewhat awkward gait, although it never seemed to slow her down.
We lost Stacy to a difficult kidding in the spring of 2006, on the coldest day we have ever had here. We miss her a lot. Her extraordinary doe kid Betsy (a blue ribbon winner at the state fair) remains in the herd, where she follows in her mother's kind and nutty hoofprints.
